News & Upcoming EventsDecember Graduates:
Degree: BA in Communication with a specialization in Radio and Television Future Plans: Work at a local radio station, with hopes of working at a Christian broadcasting company in the future What you appreciate about JSCC: "Johnson Street Church of Christ has always been really welcoming to me. I love how close knit the church family is and I appreciate all of the service and outreach opportunities that are available for its members." What you appreciate about RFC: "The CCC will always have a special place in my heart. My husband actually proposed to me in the building! When I think of my very best friends, they are all in the RFC. This place has been a blessing to me over these past few years, and it makes me proud to say that I have been a part of this organization." Advice to remaining students: "STAY INVOLVED! I know school work can be overwhelming at times, but I promise, you will not regret your time spent at the CCC. Go to every extra trip or event that you possibly can. The road trips are where most of the wonderful memories are made. Retreats are probably some of my favorite times to look back on in my college years. MAKE TIME for this place. Get to know the people here on a deeper level. You'll love them even more. Invite others to join you... it could save their life. Okay, that may sound dramatic... but honestly, this place and these people really did make these the best years of my life."
Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Future Plans: Attend Graduate School of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and eventually work in Human Resources. What you appreciate about JSCC: It would be the love shown to me whenever I'm around. This church is truly my home away from home and everyone has made me feel wanted. What you appreciate about RFC: I appreciate the willingness to stand for Christ in all situations. The Lord is truly doing work through the RFC; I've seen it for myself. The students, Doug, and Bunny have all aided me in maturing physically, mentally, and spiritually. Advice to remaining students: Know what you want, and work to achieve it. Also, depend on what the Lord provides to make through the day, no matter what. I've made these two things part of my life, and things have been falling into place for me, thanks to Him. Lastly, make some friends; friends who you can count on, and can count on you no matter the situation! SPRING 2011Spring Semester flew by, and summer is underway! Here are some of what we did: Our 2010-1011 Theme was "CRUCIFORM" (Shaped by the cross). We were blessed at the Z2 CONVERGENCE, Campus Encounter in Stillwater, OK, Spring Break mission to Tuba City, AZ, Spring Retreat at HEB Foundation Camp, and "REZ Week" at Easter time. Planning is in progress for the fall and leadership is emerging. We look forward to being for Christ next year. HE is Lord, so may we live, study, play--everything--FOR HIM!
